Kit Contents
This kit is designed to restore two headlight lenses.
-
Sanding Discs: 6 total (2x P800, 2x P1200, 2x P2000).
-
Polishing Paste: 1x 85g tube of specialized lens compound.
-
UV Protective Liquid: 2x 3.0ml sachets/bottles.
-
Hardware: 1x Backer pad (M10 thread), 1x Drill adapter, 1x Masking tape.
-
Sponge Discs: 1x Orange (for polishing), 1x White (for applying protection).
3-Step Restoration Process
1. Sanding (The Prep)
-
Masking: Use the tape to protect the paint around the headlight.
-
Wet Sanding: Wet the lens and the P800 disc. Sand until the yellowing is gone. Move to P1200, then P2000.
-
Note: Your headlight will look "frosted" or white during this stage. This is normal; you are removing the damaged outer layer.
2. Polishing (The Clarity)
-
Attach: Use the Orange Sponge on the backer pad (with a drill or by hand).
-
Compound: Apply the Polish Paste to the sponge.
-
Buff: Polish the lens until the "frosty" look disappears and the glass becomes crystal clear. If doing this by hand, use at least 200 circular strokes.
3. Protection (The Shield)
-
Clean & Dry: Ensure the lens is 100% dry and free of any polish residue.
-
Apply UV Liquid: Use the White Sponge to apply the UV Protective Liquid in a thin, even layer.
-
Cure: Stay out of the sun for 10–15 minutes while the liquid levels out. Then, move the car into direct sunlight to cure for 1–2 hours.
